If Jesus comes tomorrow, what then?

Jesus Himself says that He is coming back, so if He is coming back, what then?

As we look at the state of the world today you would have to say that if Jesus is coming back, which He is, He must be coming back soon.

In Matthew Chapter 24 Jesus goes into detail about the signs of the end times and it would have to be said we can see many of them on todays news.

6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

For Christians the return of Jesus will be a good thing and something that we have been waiting for for thousands of years. For those who have rejected Jesus then will come the judgement. So why has Jesus delayed for thousands of years? The Bible tells us that God is longsuffering towards us and is giving as many people as possible the opprtunity to repent, live a good life and give glory to His Son Jesus, who has paid the price for everything we have ever done wrong.

2 Peter 3:9 New King James Version

9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

God is not wanting anyone to perish, but it is up to the individual what choices they make and having made there choices the consequences are on their own heads and not on God's.

Deuteronomy 30:19 New King James Version

19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;

Joshua 24:15 New King James Version

15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
