Children of God.

1 John 3:1 New King James Version

The Command to Love

3 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

Last week we had our grandsons visiting us, on Saturday evening we had our Goddaughters visiting.

Our story with Ermelyne and the girls goes back eight years now. When she walked into St Gabriel's Church in Liverpool, the social work department were trying to send her back to the Netherlands with her three young daughters. Ermylene, as a Dutch citizen had the right to be in the UK, (this was pre-brexit) but as she hadn't managed to get employment they wanted to send her back. Jean started working with her (and praying) and now eight years later Ermylene works hard, has 'settled status' and is entitled to permanent residence and the right to work, in the UK, which she does faithfully, they have a home in the Dingle and the girls are all doing well at school, and they all love Jesus. Before they left we had a time of prayer, as we used to do on a Thursday evening, and all the girls prayed out, Emeraude, the youngest needed a little coaxing, as she always did, Benie the oldest prayed out faithfully, Jade the middle girl joined in and Ermelyne prayed in French, as she always did, they have been a blessing in our lives and it was good to see them again. From hiding from social workers to a valued member of the community, all things are possible, with God.

Matthew 19:26 New King James Version

26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
