Big Brother II.

This may look like a spider on a blue tile, but it is actually a picture of a drone against the clear blue sky early the other morning.

We woke early (5.30) and as the tide was goiing out we decided to go for a walk along the beach. But we weren't the first up. There was a chap on the prom outside our window with a rather large drone flying it about surveying the area. It is not the first time this has happened, last summer we aoke early and there was a drone right outside our window. We live four floors up and sleep with the blids open. On another occasion the police had cordoned of an area of the prom and were obviously practicing with a drone. Over on the West Shore the National Coastwatch use a drone to fly out and warn people of the incoming tide announcing the warning from an onboard speaker, it was quite eerie and a bit sci-fi, but as we see very usefull to warn those who didn't know better that the incoming tide would soon cut them off. So obvioulsy they have there uses keeping us safe and keeping an eye on us.

As Christians we believe we have a 'big brother' Jesus looking out for us. He has sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in us. Prompting us when we do things wrong, keeping us safe and keeping an eye on us. Many people don't like the idea of the big brother society watching our every move, and probaly with good reason, this technology in the wrong hands or even in the right hands with the wrong motive could be dangerous, but with the Holy Spirit you can be sure of one thing, He keeps an eye on us for our own good and the good of others, guiding us into a better way of life, not always out of trouble but through trouble, giving us the strength and the peace to live life to the full.

John 14:26 New International Version

26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name (the name of Jesus), will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
